The Food, Fibre and Timber Industries Training Council (WA) Inc.  is a not-for-profit skills advisory body that provides high-level strategic advice to government, the education and training sector, and to industry on the workforce development needs for their respective sectors.

Reporting to the CEO, and as a key member of a small but enthusiastic team, you will source and maintain labour market information to contribute to advice given to the WA Government on training needs for the above sectors. You will keep abreast of developments, activities and policies in relation to vocational education and training through reading relevant literature and undertaking regular desktop reviews. You will also monitor and report on stakeholder engagement activities and other key deliverables; maintain internal knowledge management processes including the organisation’s client management system, issues register and industry profiles; and provide support to the team in the organisation of events and meetings.

To be successful in this support position, you will have strong administrative and organisational abilities. Your sound computer skills, including the ability to use software to manage and manipulate data sets will be matched by your capacity to work positively in a small team environment. Demonstrated report writing experience and research abilities are also important requirements. Relevant qualifications and work experience in the food, fibre or timber industry sectors would be well regarded.
