Government / Local Government

Located in the western suburbs of Perth, the Town of Cambridge is a dynamic, progressive local government, boasting an inner-city charm with leafy character suburbs and iconic parks that stretch to the natural bushland of Bold Park and the ocean, reflecting a unique, relaxed lifestyle for its diverse community. Council is now seeking a visionary CEO with the experience, focus and drive to take the organisation forward and inspire others to contribute and collaborate on the journey.
Success in this pivotal role will require an experienced leader with a successful track record in leading significant transformational and cultural change in a challenging and complex environment. You will promote and maintain a healthy and high performing organisational culture, leading by example through demonstrable ethical leadership and commercial acumen. You will partner with the Mayor and Councillors to develop and implement a clear strategic vision for the Town as it maintains its identity while realising its true potential through innovative management of its assets including the Wembley public golf course and restaurants at City Beach and Floreat, while providing support for residents and the local business community.
Tertiary qualified and a contemporary strategic thinker, your impressive senior executive track record in either the corporate or government sectors will be complemented by well-honed skills in financial management, economic development, and asset and risk management.  Importantly, your consultative and open management style will enable the continuing development of a dedicated work force. You will also have the ability to inspire direction and purpose, develop and deliver long term strategic plans and work closely in partnership with the Council and community to achieve the organisation’s goals and objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and commercially focussed leader to play an integral role in taking one of Perth’s most ambitious and community committed Councils forward and to develop the blueprint for a long-term sustainable future. An attractive remuneration package in the range of $206,500 to $319,752, including superannuation and unrestricted private use of a vehicle will be offered to the successful candidate on a five (5) year contract.
